Winter's hope

Really not complicated
This love inside of me
Even though I've yearned and waited
Nothing ever comes for free

Singing at the sunrise
Laughing at the moon
Crying when I think I'm ill fated
While my heart plays a different tune

Hand to hand
and eye to eye
Never even stop to think
When or how or even less why

Yes love will come and often go
Without a care for the broken heart
But when you've been part of the show
You're happy just to play your part

A leaf is blown upon the wind
And sand drifted by the tide
When something grows on the valley floor
It's programmed from inside

How are we to understand
With lives ferocious and so brief?
Love is not to comprehend
Like spring in winter's reef

So hold on to the dawn's glory
And grasp the night in fist
When passion's pester honors you
How could you possibly resist?
