Counting
Tick
Tick Tock
Did you think that
I really needed a clock?
When there was
no beginning for Me
but only for you
I knew that you'd need time
To define what you do
Make no mistake
On faith, hope or sense
that time constrains
what I have always deemed
expense
you believe that your success
is measured by clicks, ticks, rings or marks
Do not forget that
I have given you days, dawns
and years
to contend with your fears
and do what I've commanded
or be remanded to the void of
separation
Several precious moments
Perhaps that is all you have
To live and to love
Is this not enough
to expect from you
obedience?
For all you are, have and do
I have given you
