Sight
Can you write about laughter
With a frown upon your face?
Can you dream about mountains
Without awe in your heart,
and great big eyes filled with wonder?
can you dance sans emotion
Moving in time with sadness,
no music or melody but tears?
Can you run blind through the meadow
With little notice paid to color,
Praying for clouds of rain?
Can you giggle with children
With no hope of grand future,
And short of breath or flame?
Can you see your Mother's eyes
And not be moved to tear or joy?
Can your eyes fill with lust or envy
And not lose sight
of the Glory of God?
