Mirth
Happiness is self defined
effigy in plaster
individually wined
and dined
Mirror finish once refined
reflects the Master
in face and space
and mind
Where joy is free
of filigree and want
for naught but destiny
Songs of prayer
or glory praised
Seeking mirth
in voices raised
I've seen the mountain
and the fire absent of
my own desire
Where dreams
are pierced by truth
and light
Things not subject to
sound and sight
Oh passion rest
upon that stone
dependent on itself alone
Never full in constant
thirst
Heaven blessed
but Earthly cursed
A circle ends
where it's begun
This truth in birth
offends no one
Peace is hope
in present tense
