Right Down To IT

Lazy nights on Grandpa's back porch swing
Crazy fights that never seem to mean a thing
Mosquito bites, just a little itch and some sting
Wouldn't trade a moment
For all the city lights,
or flying kites
cause when you get down to it
Everything I ever wanted is right
here in your eyes

Snowball fights that the kids always seem to win
Ballet tights, baseball gloves and surrounded by your kin
Wish I might but then maybe once again
Wouldn't trade this moment
For all the oil rights
Or mountain heights
Cause when you get down to it
Everything I ever wanted is right
here in your eyes

Dreamy nights, country dances at the fair
Friendly invites from those who really care
A spark ignites when I see the moonlight in your hair
Wouldn't trade this moment
For another life
cause you're my wife
and when you get down to it
Everything I ever wanted is right
here in your eyes

You make me sing when I am bashful
You make me quiet when tempers flare
You make me think when I'm a know it all
Cause when you get down to it
I feel like I always knew it
That everything I ever wanted is right
here in your eyes
