four by six

The mirror shows only two dimensions
Never the fortune or soul
And though over time the face changes
Inside may stay dark as coal

We sent the best silhouette picture
Perfect as wax figurine
Sculptured to convey what the artist
Intended the looker to glean

But under the house is a sewer
Dirt and laundry neatly concealed
The thoughts of invisible quarrels
That the portrait had never revealed
