Learned what Love is not about
Resist temptation to scream and shout
Have no need to use your clout
Still quite real when there is doubt
Short, beautiful, smug or stout
Restraint's your friend when you would spout
Follow though you see a better route
When you're in you think you're out
When you're out resist the lout
Sticks in your teeth like sandstone grout
When snarl comes grab the snout
Just smile real big instead of pout
All along just be devout
