Faith Challenge

Can my heart and my head
Be so far from center?

I got a message from God
And thought that he meant her

Chasing something in the bush
That wounds her more than her prey

I have walked the road of the perfect love
That is why I am compelled to say

That you can't find freedom in captivity
And Einstein said it's simply insane
To expect different results sans adjustment
When the variables and controls still remain

I am torn by my need to seek protest
When I know that doing nothing is right

The one who returns feeling and reason
Will be worth every scratch, bruise or bite

You told me that you aren't the right one
But I know something more than you may see

The answers to prayers, "Yes and Amen."
Were promises given directly to me
