The danger in dancing
So close to the fire
Flames may burn your britches
Though you rarely will tire

The problem with theory
As opposed to the act
One is the story
The other is fact

You begin with the morning
and end with the night
One holds your preference
But neither is right

Hope is not tangible
And fear wears no shirt
Can't hold on to water
Why pain has to hurt

You paint from the inside
You write from the heart
But what it does to the world
Is why it's called art
