Two drops of honey
Becoming a butterfly hurts, but in a good way
It's like thinking real hard for several years
And then saying something that changes lives
Excitement is best when the planning is divine
Rounding that curve, holding on to your hat
And having that childlike face of amazement
What happens when you reach full potential?
Do you keep on getting better or is there
No longer reason to reside in this place?
Happiness is momentary but joy is forever
When most things make you laugh out loud
And all the rest just impresses you to tears
Relief to put down the burden of weary traveler
Taking in the aroma of peace like a sip
of purified water from a frosted mug
What do you shoot for when you've got it all?
And you feel like a grandfather absorbing
great pleasure from just watching them grow
