Peace

Thunder cracks the sky and lightning seeks its lover
While driven by fear they all run for cover
Under cover of night the coyote he searches
While searching for peace they fill all the churches

Rain soaks his shirt while dirt fills her hair
Her heart burst in to flame with each passing stair
Each step that they took led to another climb
This ascent it appears will take a long time

Time wed to us throughout all of our days
The daze becomes clear then the light just stays
You stay with the one who knows exactly who you are
We are what we are not some wish sent by a star

War rages on whether or not we attend
Attend to your wounds and the hurts of your friend
A friend is someone that sees that hole up ahead
And tells you to go down a different road instead
