My decision

I will love you whether or not you feel worthy of being loved
No matter the distance between us, no matter how hard you've shoved
See I'm outside your expectations I live by my own rules
I will be patient with outsiders and always suffer fools
I am not in charge here nor are you the king of Earth
I do not determine your value but I know what you are worth
Precious is not defined by rubies, diamonds, gold and pearls
It's in the smiling, happy faces of little boys and girls
We all came here as children then quickly left behind
The challenge to find the answers that we were sent to find
The only thing that is different between the way we two think
Is that to find my peace of mind I don't need to smoke or drink
What we have been trying to supress, escape or just forget
Are the natural, internal mysteries that we haven't discovered yet
I will never give you walking papers or write you off for good
No matter how much you wish it or if others think I should
You are my Brother and that means more to me than you may ever know
I will be here to offer support and shade whether or not you grow
See long ago I made a choice that affects everything that I do
One thing you can really upon, I will have great love for you
