Senseless
I don't get why someone would be at the door to their freedom then suddenly hang themselves. What drives people to determine that the only way through the fire for them is to give up before attempting to discover a way through, over or around it? And these things are done without warning or sign. Is it someone's planned programming of their minds to make them believe that there is no chance for success? Is it fear of success? Is it lack of spirit or maybe lack of guidance and direction from leaders around them? Is there some sort of supernatural influence at play? Is there a chemical imbalance that may be isolated with good research and analysis? Is it desperation or identity crisis realizing that you don't fit in when everything around you tells you that being one of the many is the greatest achievement? Is it a misguided desire for attention, feeling that all other attempts to be recognized have gone in vain? Does anyone have a plausible answer that they would wish to share?
There is nothing more frustrating then watching a young, seemingly happy person give up, not to the point of falling down and crying or secluding themselves in a bedroom for the weekend, but actually attempting to end it with permanency. Don't they understand that this life is the fire which burns the imperfections out of us on our way to the next phase? Perchance it is fear of perfection or the realization that they will never reach perfection. In any case I wish they would trust us enough to speak about their pain before they take action. Nothing, I repeat nothing can be solved without looking for a reasonable solution? How is it that they do not know how much they are loved? This life is painful maybe way to painful for many. That is why those of us with the strength to make it through with reserve energy must seek out those that need. So that they may understand that the race is winnable through completion, because during difficult times usually the only thing you need is a little push, hand up or loving word. Perhaps we need to teach a different set of success measures to children at a young age, so when the world pushes the money, power, sex and prestige thing at them they have a significant list for comparison. What do you think? I hope that any kids I know who are contemplating something with such finality will know that we want to help. Let us know something is wrong, so that all possibilities at answer may be investigated. We love you.
