We've always got stuff to deal with. Show me a man that says he is "well adjusted" and I will show you someone whose ego has blinded him to the stuff he needs to work on or has just given up on growth . I have yet to meet anyone that has finished the work on themselves. Women possess an understanding of the principle surrounding the word process significantly better than do men. As men we want answers now and believe that once we have conquered the demon, finished the work or solved the problem that it is time for comfort and unfortunately complacence. It ain't over til it's over and that means this life or until we make the decision to remain in one spot. Everytime I think I've developed some character and have reached a point where myself and others should be happy with me, I learn of the next issue I have been given to learn about and deal with. Sure I am content and peaceful, but that has only come as a result of understanding that it is never going to end and now I welcome it instead of fight it. To you I say, "yes" when you point out the tarnished parts of my personality, dirt on my psyche or how poorly I handled an interaction with others. Yes to all that comes with learning how to deal with each situation, stimuli or relationship a bit better each time I am confronted with an opportunity to get it right this time. And yes to process of becoming the most mature, well rounded (not just my belly), wise, understanding, giving and forgiving person that I can become in the time allotted. YES
