words and wishes
What do you do when you've got nothing to wish for?
When you wanted so little and you've been given much more.
Do you invent stuff that you think would
look good on a shelf?
Do you collect colorful things that
you can keep to your self?
Or do you find someone else not quite so well off?
Do you clear out the basement, garage and the loft?
Do you go on a venture to increase your mind?
Do you look for more knowledge than other's could find?
Or is it at home that the riches are found?
Something not measured by price or by pound.
Whether your bank account is empty
or stuffed to the gills.
Your heart will be measured by the
lives that it fills.
Will you look in your home for the treasures of life?
Like an imaginative child or the hand of your wife.
See there is nothing out there beyond what you wish.
If you want to find the trophy you must know where to fish.
